The role of rice in Philippine culture has been immense.
It has covered the range from utilitarian, to the symbolic,
to the ornamental. It has feed the nation through the ages
in every shape, color and areable savor and favor. It has
served as gift to disaffected deities and tribal
spirits, and an offering of goodwill to the citizens of
our invisible world (Rice in the Seven Arts).
